Boooring!

Quaker Low-Sugar oatmeal. Again. It was strongly suggested to us that we start getting in to work on time, as it would reflect well on our subordinates. The latest I usually get in is about 10 or 15 minutes after 9am-- and it's not because I'm lazy or sleeping! When I go to the gym in the morning, it takes me a bit longer to get in. Anyway, I've been eating alot of oatmeal in an effort to not be any later in to work than I have to be.

I had every good intention of eating that banana, but it was too far gone for my own personal taste. My husband likes to eat them when they are still green (blech!) and my dad will eat them when they are so mottled with brown that there isn't a speck of yellow left (blech! again). I like them somewhere in the middle, and this was was just about too overripe for me. Not that you give a shit.

There's Oatmeal in our Slacks

Had breakfast at work this morning: Brown-sugar instant oatmeal, a banana, and, French Vanilla coffee.

And yes, that is an "Animaniacs" mug, circa 1994-ish. I still love me some Pinky and the Brain. But Rita and Runt always irritated me, as did Buttons and Mindy. There was never enough Slappy Squirrel though. I am very attached to this mug. It's kind of thin though. Poorly constructed. I worry about it breaking. (These are the weighty issues that consume me during the day, important meaning-of-life type stuff.) I guess if something happened to it, I could probably replace it on eBay. (A quick search just showed me that I can indeed do that-- there is one mug for $7.99 in "fine" condition. Good to know.) Maybe I should get an extra, just in case. That would actually be kind of pathetic. Just like this entry.

Whoa, that toast is stacked!!

Might as well send this year off right. Stacked French Toast at the Americana Diner. It's a little bit healthy too, because of all the fruit. (I know, just humor me, ok?)
